On March 18, 2025 we had yet another interview with Radio Rheinwelle (in German). We had cut the recording into four pieces:
- Introduction about the Club including its history and evolution
- Our key event - Charity Spring Bazaar - what it takes to organize such a huge event, who is involved, how we collect and sort all the items, and so much more (and there is a bonus song!)
- What do we do with all the money we raise? In this clip, we explain how we select the organizations we support
- And lastly, why should you join our Club? There are lots of reasons but we highlight some in this clip
Our collection point for our biggest event of the year - Charity Spring Bazaar - was featured in the Wiesbadener Kurier on March 12, 2025.
More visibility and awareness help us bring more people to the Bazaar on the day and contribute to our purpose: supporting people in need in our city.
On October 18, 2024 we again had the pleasure to broadcast on Radio Rheinwelle, talking about our club, its goals and purpose, the flagship event (Spring Bazaar) as well as its search for sponsors.
5 club members and our only sponsor from the Dr Alex and Eva Friend Foundation Jens Peter Jens took part.
Although it takes one hour, you can also hear a lot of great music!
On April 26, 2024, the Club was again featured by Wiesbadener Kurier!
This time it covered our elections and new Board members starting in 2025.
On June 27, 2024, Hessian television (Hessische Fernsehen) filmed a report about the current NATO stationing in Wiesbaden. Board members of our club were asked how they assessed this current situation and what the general state of German-American friendship is. The videos are in German.
On May 24, 2024, Wiesbadener Kurier featured a story about our celebratory event when we were awarded with a silver city plaque
commemorating our 75-year anniversary by the Mayor
Gert-Uwe Mende.
Our 75-year anniversary and the moment when we received the city silver city plaque from the Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende were featured in the June (2024) edition of the Sensor magazine.
In April 2024 we were featured twice in the Wiesbader Kurier!
On April 14 we spoke with the Kurier about the club, its purpose and history as well as about our activities and the main event - the Spring Bazaar.
On April 22 the Kurier extensively covered the Bazaar.

On the occasion of the club birthday, the board Jens Peter Jens traditionally presented a check to both club presidents - Sarah Szwaj-international president (left) and Ulrike Jaskulski-Klein - German president. This time it was 6,000 euro. Dr. Alex and Eva Friend foundation was established to promote friendship with the USA. Eva Friend was a former club member.

Wiesbaden. The German-American & International Women's Club has elected a new Board. The Women's club with nearly 200 members is the largest and oldest club in Wiesbaden. The club's major activity is it's annual Spring Charity Bazaar held in the Kurhaus colonnades. The proceeds are donated to to local charitable organizations. Four times a year they hold a Newcomers' Meeting in Café Lumen.
